A record 330 thousand voters exercised their constitutional right to vote at 231 polling stations established abroad in the Republic of Moldova.

In the elections in Moldova, the diaspora set a historic record - more than 329,000 voters came to the polls.
At 231 polling stations set up abroad, including 3 polling stations for voting by mail, 329,775 voters exercised their constitutional right to vote
The highest rate of participation in voting abroad was recorded at polling stations in Brescia, Bucharest, Padua, Paris, Vicenza, Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, Venice, Verona and Moscow.
Almost 55% of voters are women;
45 percent are men.

The election law stipulates that the second round of the presidential election is recognized as valid if at least 20% of the people registered in the voter lists participated in it. According to preliminary data, 1,699,945 voters, or 54.34% of the electorate, took part in Sunday's election.
Under these conditions, the CEC confirms the validity of the vote.

According to the preliminary results of the CEC, Maia Sandu won the presidential election in Moldova with 55.41% of the vote. The election was attended by 1.7 million voters, with the diaspora playing a significant role.
