Ukrainian Major General Dmytro Marchenko, who was in charge of the defense of Mykolaiv at the beginning of the full-scale invasion , has resigned from the Armed Forces due to health problems. He announced this on his Facebook page, UNN reports.
"No enemy's tests, no pressure made me stop in my unwavering struggle for Ukraine. Therefore, leaving the service was the hardest decision I have ever made in my life.
I am undergoing the necessary treatment. After all, even the unbreakable sometimes need a little patching up to keep them afloat. After all, service in the military always requires sacrificing health. And without timely recovery, everything can become useless," Marchenko wrote.
