Russian troops hit a 5-storey building in Donetsk region yesterday, killing two women, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on Friday, UNN reports.

"2 people were killed and 5 others wounded in Mykolayivka, Kramatorsk district. Rescuers spent almost 4 hours extinguishing the fire - two apartments and 3 balconies with a total area of 350 square meters caught fire as a result of yesterday's strike. In total, 5 apartment buildings and an administrative building were damaged," the State Emergency Service reported on social media.
"The Russians dropped two UMPB D-30 SN bombs on the town of Mykolaivka, killing 2 women and injuring 5 other civilians. Five apartment buildings, an educational institution and 4 cars were destroyed," the regional police reported on social media.
According to police, the strike killed two women who were outside. The older one was 88 years old, the other was about to turn 79 in a few days.
According to the Donetsk police, Russian troops killed two people in Donetsk region over the past day, and six others were wounded. During the day, police recorded 2,952 enemy attacks along the front line and in the residential sector. Six localities were affected: the towns of Kurakhove, Mykolayivka, Pokrovsk, Yampil, Mykolayivka and Rivne. 34 civilian objects were damaged, including 24 residential buildings:
- Occupants shelled Mykolayivka village with Grad multiple rocket launchers, wounding a man and damaging 9 private houses and an educational institution.
- The enemy attacked Pokrovsk twice, including with a FAB-250 bomb with an UMPK module. A private house, a garage, and railroad tracks were damaged.
- In Rivne, 8 private houses and a garage were damaged as a result of shelling from the S-300 system.
- Russia sent two bombs to Kurakhove, damaging the administrative building.
- A private house was damaged in Yampol.
"In just one day, Russians fired 9 times at the settlements of Donetsk region," said Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk RMA, on Telegram.
