The chairman of one of the courts of Poltava, who incited a person to give an undue benefit to a judge of another court in Poltava for satisfying a claim in a civil case, has been dismissed. This was reported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, UNN reports.
Details
On November 4, the High Council of Justice upheld the disciplinary complaint of the head of the SAPO and dismissed the head of one of the courts in Poltava.
The members of the Disciplinary Chamber decided to submit a motion to dismiss the judge, arguing that his actions undermined the authority of justice.
The prosecutor's office reminded that the HACC is hearing the case of this judge. The investigation established that the judge incited a person to provide an undue benefit to a judge of another court in Poltava for satisfying a claim in a civil case.
The judge gave the impression and assured that a person could get a court decision in his favor only for an unlawful benefit of $10,000. However, as it turned out, he did not try to transfer the money for the resolution of the issue, but disposed of it at his own discretion
It was also established that the judge had knowingly entered false information in his 2020 declaration.
