All communities in Kyiv region have started the heating season, and 35 communities have been connected to heat by 100%. In others, this process is ongoing. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Ruslan Kravchenko following a meeting of the Headquarters on the heating season in the regions, UNN reports.

Under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba , representatives of central authorities, heads of regional military administrations, local governments and energy companies discussed a full range of issues.
Kravchenko emphasized that the process of connecting social facilities and housing stock to the heat supply is underway in Kyiv region.
Most social institutions have already been connected to heat. In particular, 416 kindergartens, 526 schools, 352 medical institutions, and we are actively connecting residential buildings. We have put 1116 boiler houses into operation. They also discussed the installation of cogeneration units, solar stations, etc
Kyiv region has already signed memorandums on the installation of 33 cogeneration units with a capacity of more than 80 MW in communities. USAID will also help with the installation of the plants by the end of 2024.
Work is underway to install rooftop solar power plants in public sector institutions and housing and communal facilities. We have already concluded 10 ESCO agreements worth UAH 155 million.
