As part of this initiative, the laboratory of the Tairov Institute of Viticulture and Winemaking received modern equipment for analyzing wine by mass spectrometry. This makes it possible to accurately detect counterfeits.
"The equipment purchased for public funds with the support of the Odesa RMA was presented on November 8, 2024, at a scientific conference with the participation of RMA and business representatives.
This step will allow Ukrainian winemaking to meet European quality standards.
The laboratory is scheduled to be fully operational in 8-9 months," the statement said.
