In the Polish city of Kroshtyn, a 27-year-old Ukrainian woman died after a cesarean section. This is reported by Polska Agencja Prasowa, with reference to UNN.
Details
According to Krotoshyn police spokesman Piotr Szczepaniak, the tragic incident occurred earlier this week. A girl who was 33 weeks pregnant was admitted to the gynecological department. Her husband took her to the hospital because she was feeling unwell.
After the examination, the doctors decided to deliver the baby by cesarean section. A few hours after the operation, the woman died.
The hospital did not report the case to the police or the prosecutor's office. According to the Law "On Health Care," a medical institution is obliged to notify only the next of kin of a death.
If a patient dies whose identity cannot be established, or in a situation where the doctor who certifies the death suspects that it was caused by prohibited actions, the police and the prosecutor's office must be notified
According to Bukowiecki, if the doctor who certified the death did not come to the above conclusion, then only authorized persons are informed.
After the media reports, law enforcement officers took notice of the incident and sent the woman's body for forensic examination.
At present, according to the decision of the prosecutor, the woman's body has been taken for forensic examination to determine the immediate cause of death and her state of health.

The child was reportedly born alive, but with signs of oxygen deficiency. This is a boy who is now in the hospital in Ostrów Wielkopolski. Doctors assess his condition as moderate.
