Svitlana Miroshnyk from Svydivka, Cherkasy region, lost her son to war. However, she has not lost faith in Ukraine's victory. The woman took part in a business idea competition "Do Your Own", set up a small "sewing shop" at home and sews clothes for the Armed Forces, reports UNN.

. It should be noted that the dressmaker has been refusing requests from soldiers on the front line since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
She made thermal clothing, underwear, hats, balaclavas, camouflage suits, sleeping bags, and load-bearing equipment on a volunteer basis. Volunteers and concerned villagers helped with materials.
She set up the "sewing workshop" in a small room in her house, where she lives with her husband, whom she takes care of because of his illness. She sends the sewn items directly to the front line through volunteers.
With the grant funds of 100 thousand UAH, she purchased a powerful sewing machine and edger for heavy fabrics, a steam generator with an iron and an ironing board, as well as other equipment that will allow her to produce much more military clothing.
"My work is a manifestation of gratitude and my amulet to our children at the front. May God protect them," the woman says.

At the end of May, the organizers of the "Do Your Own" business idea competition for entrepreneurs in small towns and villages announced the winners of the 2023 edition.
This year, the MHP-Community Foundation, which organized the competition, supported 80 business projects totaling more than UAH 7.4 million. A total of 615 applications were received from small entrepreneurs from all over the country. In particular, most business ideas were submitted in Kyiv (22%), Cherkasy (12%), Dnipro (11%), Vinnytsia (9%), and Lviv (9%) regions.
The main criteria for selecting the winners were project innovation, economic component, creation of new jobs, social significance, and involvement of IDPs in business or work. Both existing businesses that are expanding or relocating and entrepreneurs who have a business idea and are just looking for funding to implement it received grant support.
