Border guards often detect violations during attempts to cross the border using the Shlyakh system. In particular, some drivers do not have licenses to drive the vehicle they are traveling in and cannot confirm the purpose of their trip. This was stated by the SBGS spokesman Andriy Demchenko during a telethon, UNN reports.
One of the areas of verification is the "Shlyakh" system for drivers who carry out transportation or those who travel abroad to transport humanitarian aid. During border control, it often turns out that those following this system cannot confirm the purpose of their trip
According to him, licensees abuse the fact that they enter information about drivers, and they subsequently do not comply with the period of stay abroad.
"In such cases, they are refused to cross the border. However, there are times when we record that licensees abuse the system and enter information about drivers who do not comply with the period of stay abroad or do not return at all. We pass this information on to Ukrtransbezpeka so that they can conduct a more thorough check. And more than 200 licensees have been denied further information about such drivers," Demchenko said.
Recall
Earlier, Demchenko reported that the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine does not rule out possible changes in the procedure for crossing the border for men with disabilities.
