In Kyiv, law enforcement officers liquidated 4 drug laboratories and seized precursors, drugs and illegal substances worth UAH 122 million.

Law enforcement officers in Kyiv liquidated 4 drug laboratories, seized precursors, drugs and prohibited substances worth UAH 122 million. This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, UNN reports

Under the procedural supervision of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, seven members of the criminal group, who organized four drug laboratories for the production of amphetamine and phenylnitropropene precursor and sold prohibited substances in Ukraine and neighboring countries, were exposed and served suspicion notices (Part 1, 2, 3 Art. 307, Part 2, 3 Art. 311, Part 4 Art. 321 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),

Details

It is noted that members of the drug group set up four drug laboratories in apartments in Kyiv region, with a capacity to produce more than 50 kg of precursors per month, from which the offenders subsequently produced 40 kg of amphetamine, which provided the offenders with a stable income of more than UAH 16 million per month.

They set up a warehouse for precursors at the workplace of one of the group members, who worked at one of the capital's markets.

Law enforcement officers conducted 23 simultaneous searches of drug laboratories, warehouses, residences of the suspects and cars.

During the searches, almost 400 liters of nitroethane (which could be used to synthesize about 300 kg of amphetamine), 25 kg of various precursors, more than 3 thousand MDMA pills, 430 g of amphetamine, 205 g of cannabis, laboratory equipment, weapons and ammunition, two cars used by the defendants in their criminal activities were seized.

The estimated value of the seized prohibited substances may amount to UAH 122 million.
