MHP for Communities has announced the winners of the PROgrowth grant competition in Myronivska and Kanivska communities. 40 projects will receive funding totaling UAH 707,500 for training and development.

On November 6, the winners of a new grant competition "PROgrowth" were announced, within which participants will receive up to UAH 15,000 for training and professional development, UNN reports.

The pilot project of the MHP for Communities Charitable Foundation and MHP is being implemented in two communities -  Myronivska (Kyiv region) and Kanivska (Cherkasy region).  In September and October, the organizing committee received 108 applications from employees of social, humanitarian, medical, historical and cultural institutions and entrepreneurs.

"Without personal self-development, we cannot create communities where we want to live. And this is the mission of our Foundation. That is why we have launched self-development grants to enable people to learn, improve themselves, and improve their communities. As part of this initiative, we have received more than 100 interesting projects, which once again confirm the activity of our people and the potential for change," said Tetiana Volochai, Chairman of the Community Development Council of MHP for Communities.

The competition was a logical continuation of the work that will allow us to implement an important project, as this year the Foundation's experts undertook to help these two communities - Myronivska and Kanivska - update their development strategies. This is the main document for the community that defines the most important tasks and goals for 10 years.

"But it is impossible to build communities without the main resource - human capital. Community development can only continue if we invest in its people: their knowledge, skills, ability to adapt to change and work together effectively," added Volochai.

The expert committee of the competition selected 40 winners: 21 projects from the Kaniv community and 19 projects from the Myroniv community. 33 projects are related to training, 6 to the purchase of equipment and materials, and one more to the organization of an event.

To support more projects, the commission increased the competition budget from UAH 400 thousand to UAH 510 thousand. Thus, the total amount that participants will spend on their own development, including their own contributions, reached UAH 707,500.

MHP for Communities is a Ukrainian charitable foundation that started its operations in 2015. Its main mission is the comprehensive development of communities.
