Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili files a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court to challenge the law on foreign agents (On Transparency of Foreign Influence) as unconstitutional and demand its suspension and repeal.

Today, Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili is filing a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court regarding the law on foreign agents (On Transparency of Foreign Influence), UNN reports with reference to Novosti Georgia.

"This law is unconstitutional, it contradicts Article 78 of the Constitution of Georgia. The lawsuit also challenges a number of provisions of the law that violate fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution. The President demands that the law be suspended and finally repealed," stated Giorgi Mskhiladze, the President's Parliamentary Secretary.
