The program of the visit, according to preliminary data, includes meetings with Ukrainian top officials and a joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, DW reports.
She arrived in Kyiv early in the morning; her current visit was initially kept secret for security reasons.
"Together with many partners from all over the world, Germany stands firmly by Ukraine's side," the German minister said upon her arrival in Kyiv at the start of a solidarity visit, as indicated in a statement from the German Foreign Ministry. "We will support the Ukrainian people as long as they need us, so that they can continue their path to a just peace."

This is Burbock's eighth visit to Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war unleashed by Russia. The last time the German Foreign Minister visited Ukraine was in May 2024.
