In Kyiv wind tears off roofs and falls trees: patrol policemen give some advice

Wind gusts of up to 20 m/s have been forecast for the capital, which has already led to trees falling and roofs being damaged. The Patrol Police have issued recommendations to Kyiv residents on how to stay safe during the weather.
Kyiv is experiencing strong winds, the capital's patrol police have warned, publishing several tips. Footage of the consequences of the bad weather is being posted online, UNN reports.

"According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, wind gusts will reach up to 20 m/s in Kyiv during the day," the patrol police posted on social media.
Photos and videos are posted online showing how strong winds in Kyiv are tearing off roofs and knocking down trees.
In particular, according to the Kyiv Patrol Police, traffic is blocked due to a tree falling on the roadway on Simi Idzykovskoho Street. Relevant services are working at the scene.
Residents of the city were called during the deteriorating weather conditions:
- do not walk under spreading trees or near construction sites;
- stay as far away from billboards and power lines as possible, as wind gusts can cause damage to them;
- do not leave vehicles under trees, billboards, power poles;
- tightly close windows, doors, attics in buildings;
- remove objects from balconies and loggias that are not secured and can fall into the street.
