According to Ukraine's Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Russia has destroyed 80% of Ukraine's thermal power plants in recent weeks due to continued energy terror and missile attacks on energy facilities.

80 percent of Ukraine's thermal power plants have been destroyed by Russian shelling in recent weeks, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal told Estonian ERR, reports UNN

Unfortunately, Russia continues its energy terror - in recent weeks alone, the Russians have destroyed more than six gigawatts of our power grid capacity. This includes hydropower and coal power. They continue to hit our energy facilities with missiles, destroy transformers and generators. Unfortunately, in recent weeks, Russia has destroyed 80 percent of thermal power plants

- said Shmyhal.

He also pointed out that Ukraine would greatly benefit from spare parts from old Soviet-type equipment available in Estonia to help restore the affected power plants .

"Today we have interruptions in the supply of electricity to both people and industry. Unfortunately, this is true. Russia continues its terror..." the Prime Minister emphasized.
