397 Ukrainian athletes and coaches were killed and more than 500 sports facilities were destroyed as a result of the Russian invasion.

"У we have confirmation that 397 athletes and coaches have been killed, including athletes who could have participated in the Olympics, such as shooter Yegor Kigitov or boxer Maxim Galinichev," said Poor.

Also according to him, the loss of sports infrastructure exceeded 500 facilities worth totaling more than $300 million.

"They can be restored, but human lives cannot be restored," Poor added.
