The Ombudsman of Ukraine appealed to the russian Ombudsman to provide full lists of Ukrainian prisoners of war whom the aggressor is ready to return.
This appeal was a response to recent statements by the russian side that Ukraine allegedly "does not agree" to the return of certain military personnel.
The Ukrainian office emphasized that the country is always ready to conduct exchanges and accept lists of its citizens. Representatives of Ukraine emphasized that they adhere to the Geneva Conventions and international humanitarian law.
At the same time, it is noted that exchange processes are often hampered by the russian federation, which uses these delays as a method of influencing Ukrainian society.
