Russian occupants are storming Ukrainian positions, hiding behind captured Ukrainian soldiers.

Russian occupants are using captured soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as human shields during the storming of Ukrainian positions. This "tactic" of the Russians was recorded by an aerial reconnaissance drone, the video of which was published by "Radio Liberty", reports UNN.

Details

Judging by the recording, there were at least four prisoners. The assault was unsuccessful - the recording shows the occupiers turning back. At the request of the military, the journalists did not indicate the exact location where the video was filmed.

At the same time, they managed to establish that Russian troops of the 234th Air Assault Regiment as part of the 76th Air Assault Division are trying to occupy this area.

Addendum

According to the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets, if the video is confirmed, "it will be a direct violation of the Geneva Conventions."

To recap

On December 2, a video of Russians killing unarmed Ukrainian soldiers who surrendered appeared online. This is a war crime in violation of the Geneva Conventions, and requires the Red Cross and the UN to take action.

Later, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' StratCom confirmed the war crime.

Ukrainian Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets appealed to the Red Cross and the UN Monitoring Mission after the killing of two Ukrainian soldiers.
