The prime ministers of Lithuania and Ukraine discussed further sanctions against Russia, preventing the bypassing of the Belarusian or other schemes, and confiscation of frozen Russian assets in favor of Ukraine.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and his Lithuanian counterpart Ingrida Šimonite discussed further sanctions against Russia. The Lithuanian prime minister said that Russia should not be allowed to circumvent sanctions through Belarus or use other schemes to circumvent sanctions. She said this during a press conference on Friday, a correspondent of UNN reports.
We also discussed further sanctions against Russia and assured that we will continue to do everything possible to maintain and increase pressure on Russia and Belarus. We must not allow Russia to circumvent sanctions through Belarus, or to use other schemes to circumvent sanctions
According to her, Lithuania will insist on EU decisions to confiscate frozen Russian assets and use them for Ukraine.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal believes that sanctions should be imposed on the entire Russian military-industrial complex, nuclear energy, metallurgy, finance and other sectors of the aggressor state.
