In the temporarily occupied Crimea this year, the occupiers have "nationalized" more than 1,200 properties, which are estimated to be worth 4.5 billion rubles. According to the occupation leader Sergey Aksyonov, this property allegedly belonged to Ukrainian businessmen and people who have an "unfriendly" position towards terrorists.
The bulk of the "nationalized" assets are resort complexes and commercial facilities that have already been taken over by the Russian Federation or sold to new owners. This became possible after the decision of the pseudo-parliament of Crimea in February 2023, which allowed the "nationalization" of property owned by citizens of countries unfriendly to the Kremlin.
