The Cabinet of Ministers approved the creation of a new e-Consul system

The Government of Ukraine has approved a regulation on the creation of the e-Consul system to automate consular services. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was instructed to put the system into operation within the budget and with international assistance.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved a regulation on the creation of the e-Consul information and communication system, which will allow for the digitalization and automation of consular services.
This was announced by the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk, reports UNN.

The Regulation on the e-Consul Information and Communication System was approved, which defines the purpose, main tasks, structure, functionality and subjects of the e-Consul Information and Communication System, its operation and use
He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine was instructed to ensure the commissioning of the e-Consul information and communication system within the expenditures provided for in the state budget for the relevant year, as well as at the expense of international technical assistance and other sources not prohibited by law.
Recall
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine plans to implement a large-scale digitalization policy, including consular services for Ukrainians abroad. The MFA's idea is to digitize some of them in order to reduce the workload of consuls and give citizens unimpeded access to these services.
