In the run-up to winter, the government is rolling out a large-scale winter support program for Ukrainians. One of its key elements is subsidies. 2.8 million Ukrainian families will receive housing subsidies and benefits. The Pension Fund has already recalculated their amount for this heating season. In the budget for 2025, we have allocated UAH 42 billion for these purposes

- Shmyhal said.

He noted that the government has already simplified the mechanism of housing and utility benefits for the military, and a subsidy program for rented housing will start in mid-January next year for internally displaced persons .

This option will be available to families that spend more than 30% of their total income on rent. About 500,000 households will receive payments this winter to buy solid fuel, including firewood and coal. These payments of up to UAH 21 thousand per family are already being made in the frontline regions
