The High Anti-Corruption Court has remanded in custody with the possibility of bail in the amount of UAH 25 million former head of the State Special Communications Service Yuriy Shchyhol, who is suspected of embezzling UAH 62 million, UNN reports .
Apply a preventive measure to Shchyhol in the form of detention until January 21, 2024. Take the suspect into custody in the courtroom. To set bail for him in the amount of UAH 25 million, the judge said.
The prosecutor's office insisted on arresting Yuriy Shchyhol with the possibility of bail in the amount of UAH 50 million 236 thousand.

On the same day, the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed the leadership of the State Service for Special Communications - the head of the agency, Yuriy Shchyhol, and his deputy, Viktor Zhora.
