The Government has adopted amendments to the procedure for providing warranty services to buyers of equipment and mobile phones

The Government of Ukraine has digitized the warranty service for household appliances and mobile phones, reducing paperwork and making service documentation available online. The relevant resolution was adopted on November 28, 2023.
The Cabinet of of Ministers of Ukraine has streamlined and digitalized the provision of warranty services to buyers of household appliances, mobile phones and other technically complex household goods. This is reported by UNN with reference to the press service of the of the Ministry of Economy.
The government has streamlined and digitalized the provision of warranty services to buyers of household appliances, mobile phones and other technically complex household goods. The relevant Resolution "On Approval of the Procedure for Warranty Repair (Service) or Warranty Replacement of Technically Complex Household Goods" was adopted at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on November 28, 2023

The ministry indicated, what is changing:
- consumers will have access to operational documents on the the official website of the manufacturer and the ability to download them electronically during the warranty period;
- the burden on business is reduced by abolishing of paper forms (9 forms) that sellers are required to fill out when providing warranty are obliged to fill out during the warranty period and which created grounds for imposing penalties by the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
According to the information, the relevant resolution was adopted to simplify of doing business, digitalization of business processes and improvement of the service provided to the end user.
