The Central Election Commission has submitted data on voting in the second round of the presidential election in Moldova. According to the commission, as of 13:00, more than 850 thousand citizens (about 30% of voters) had exercised their right to vote. For comparison, in the first round, 685 thousand people had voted by this time.
The most active voters are in Rezin, Donduseni, and Soldanesti districts - about 29%, with a turnout of 28% in Chisinau, 25% in Balti, and 27% in Gagauzia.
More than 130 thousand people have voted at polling stations abroad by this hour. The highest turnout is in Moscow, Bucharest, Brescia and Padua.
The CEC also reported 52 violations recorded on election day. These included photo ballots, campaigning, suspicions of voter bribery, and six cases of voter ferrying.
