Ukraine wants to introduce new rules for granting vacations for military personnel

Ukraine is considering new legislation on granting military personnel leave at the birth of a child, recovery from injuries and Child Care, which provides for up to 14 days for new parents and up to 12 months for restoring health.

The Verkhovna Rada has registered a draft law that provides for the provision of New leave for military personnel, including child care, according to draft law No. 10313, writes UNN.

According to the draft law, military personnel will be granted leave at the birth of a child lasting up to 14 calendar days with the preservation of monetary security in full.

It is also planned to provide military personnel with leave after injury and for medical treatment. Such vacations can be granted for up to 12 months. Also, fighters can be granted leave to undergo medical treatment abroad, which can exceed 4 months.

In addition, leave will be granted to care for a sick child under the age of 14. Such leave will be granted for up to 14 calendar days, but if the child needs inpatient treatment, military Personnel will be released from performing their official duties for the entire duration of their stay in the hospital together with the sick child.

During martial law, military personnel can go on leave (no more than 10 days) without giving reasons.
