Weather warning in Ukraine: stay home due to expected snowstorms and icy roads

Forecasters warn of a significant deterioration in weather conditions across throughout Ukraine, except for the western regions on November 26-27, reports UNN reports with reference to the State Emergency Service.

Blizzards and snow are expected, with sleet and rain in some places. Precipitation may cause snowdrifts and ice on the roads.

We urge drivers and pedestrians to be careful and, if possible, stay home over the weekend. possible, to stay at home over the weekend, and especially not to plan long trips and, if necessary, use public transportation instead of your own car, to avoid creating traffic jams on the roads.

But if the trip cannot be postponed, strictly follow traffic rules, in particular:

drivers need to change the tires on their cars from from summer to winter tires;

be especially careful and slow down near intersections and pedestrian crossings, maintain a safe speed and distance;

pedestrians should cross the road only in the established places, and stop at crosswalks to make sure that cars are cars pass you.
