Today, on December 7, is the World Day of the of the Ukrainian Headscarf. The event was launched in 2019 at the initiative of of Ukrainian diasporas, particularly in the United States, Canada, and Spain, UNN reports .

The purpose of the event is to popularize the Ukrainian headscarf in the world. On this day, workshops and competitions are held to showcase the ability to tie a headscarf. After all there are several dozen tying techniques in Ukraine alone.
