During a press conference in Budapest, Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of strong and stable relations between Ukraine and Hungary, built on the principles of equality and mutual respect.
The Head of State also expressed gratitude to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban for the invitation to the fifth summit of the European Political Community and emphasized Ukraine's desire for friendly cooperation with the Hungarian side.
During his speech, Zelenskyy drew attention to the issue of national minorities, in particular the Hungarian community in Ukraine, noting that Ukraine had implemented the recommendations of the European Commission in this area and was ready to continue cooperation on the basis of mutual respect.
The President also emphasized the importance of a bilateral agreement between the two countries, which should include support for Ukraine's accession to NATO. Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is open to dialogue and seeks to eliminate any issues that could impede the establishment of equal relations with Hungary.
