The Ukrainian company FAVBET continues to facilitate the organization of key events of the interagency working group "National Platform for Sports Integrity" within the framework of a memorandum with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine. This time, the company contributed to the organization of a large meeting of the Platform with representatives of the Ukrainian Hockey Federation, UNN reports.
During the meeting, the parties presented their best practices in the field of combating corruption in sports and agreed on a general action plan to promote the principles of integrity in sports in 2024.
Opening the event, Matviy Bidnyi, Chairman of the Platform and Acting Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, said that manipulation of sports competitions is a huge challenge for modern sport, and therefore the area of sports integrity policy is one of the leading areas of the Ministry's activities.

The results of the work of the National Platform for Sports Integrity in 2023 were presented by its Secretary Natalia Radchuk, who informed the audience about the statistics of the interagency working group's consideration of reports on violations of sports integrity and presented the Platform's website.

Oleksiy Perevezentsev, First Vice President of the NOC of Ukraine and Deputy Chairman of the Interagency Working Group, noted that the National Olympic Committee is also taking active steps to combat corruption, guided by the international experience and practice of the International Olympic Committee in the fight against manipulation of sporting events.
At the same time, Oleksandra Slatvitska, Vice President of the Ukrainian Hockey Federation, presented the developments and projects of the International Ice Hockey Federation, international experience in combating violators of the rules of fair play, and identified the priority areas of the Ukrainian Hockey Federation's work to combat manipulation and other violations of sports ethics and fair play.
"The National Integrity Platform is an effective mechanism for overseeing the integrity of sports. At the same time, it is a place for a transparent dialogue between representatives of the state and the sports community to find common solutions, exchange views and experience. We are confident that next year the scope of the Platform's activities and its influence will only grow," FAVBET said.
The Ukrainian company has been a partner of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Platform since the summer of 2023. According to the text of the memorandum, both parties are working to protect the integrity of sports and sports ethics in Ukraine. This includes exchanging information on suspicious results, developing mechanisms to counteract corruption, working to improve relevant legislation, and organizing meetings and seminars with representatives of the sports community.
