Almost 6 million hectares of winter crops sown in Ukraine: which regions have already completed the sowing season

Ukrainian farmers sowed 5.98 million hectares of winter crops, including 4.9 million hectares of grain and 1 million hectares of rapeseed. Nine regions have already fully completed sowing winter crops.
Ukrainian farmers have sown almost 6 million hectares of winter crops, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported on Tuesday, UNN reports.

“Ukrainian farmers have already sown 5.98 million hectares of winter crops. Winter crops are being sown in all regions, with almost 4.9 million hectares (95%) planted. More than 1 million hectares of winter rape have been sown,” the statement said.
In particular:
- winter wheat - 4.3 mln hectares (96%);
- winter barley - 543.6 thou hectares (85%);
- winter rye - 67.9 thou hectares (96%);
- winter rape - 1.07 mln ha (96%).
Agrarians in Vinnytsia, Volyn, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Poltava, Rivne, Ternopil and Chernihiv regions have completed sowing winter crops. Farmers in 12 regions have completed sowing winter rape.
Among the leaders in terms of winter grain sowing are farmers in Mykolaiv region - 503.1 thou hectares (100.5%), Zaporizhzhia region - 100.8 thou hectares (99.9%), and Khmelnytskyi region - 238.8 thou hectares (99.5%).
