Ukraine harvested 66.7 million tons of new crops: which regions are the largest

Ukraine harvested 47.9 million tons of grains and 18.8 million tons of oilseeds from an area of 18.6 million hectares. Odesa, Poltava, and Chernihiv regions were the leaders in grain harvest.
Ukrainian farmers have already harvested 66.7 million tons of grain and oilseeds during the current harvesting campaign, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported on Friday, UNN reports.

"Ukraine has already harvested more than 66.7 million tons of new grains and oilseeds on an area of 18.6 million hectares. In total, 47.9 million tons of grains and 18.8 million tons of oilseeds were harvested," the statement said.
In particular, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy:
- wheat - 4.9 million hectares (or 100%) were threshed, and 22.3 million tons were harvested;
- barley - 1.4 million hectares (or 100%) were threshed, with a harvest of 5.6 million tons;
- peas - 212.2 thou hectares (or 100%) were threshed, and 470.4 thou tons were harvested;
- corn - 3 million hectares (or 76%) were harvested, with a harvest of 18.3 million tons;
- Millet - 85.9 thou hectares (or 93%) were threshed, with 160.2 thou tons harvested;
- buckwheat - 87.6 thou hectares (or 98%) were threshed, and 126.9 thou tons were harvested;
- sunflower - 4.6 million hectares (or 94%) were threshed, and 9.6 million tons of seeds were harvested;
- soybeans - 2.5 million hectares (or 95%) were threshed, and 5.7 million tons of seeds were harvested;
- Rapeseed - 1.3 million hectares (or 100%) were threshed, and 3.5 million tons of seeds were harvested.
According to the report, the leaders in terms of gross grain harvest are agricultural producers in Odesa region - 4.4 million tons, Poltava region - 4 million tons, and Chernihiv region - 3.7 million tons. In terms of yields, farmers in Khmelnytsky region are ahead with 72.3 c/ha, Chernihiv region - 67 c/ha, and Bukovyna - 65.6 c/ha
Agrarians in 15 regions are harvesting sugar beet on 195.4 thousand hectares, or 76% of the total area. They have harvested 9.5 million tons of sweet roots.
