According to LSEG, in January-October, russia exported 13.4 million tons of liquefied natural gas to Europe, or about 51% of its total exports of 26.4 million tons. The rest of the LNG was exported to Asia.

In October, russia exported 2.97 million tons of LNG. This is 10% more than in September of this year and the highest figure for the entire year.

In October, russian LNG exports to Europe dropped to 0.95 million tons, down from 1.1 million tons in September and from 1.2 million tons in October 2023.

In January-October, russia's largest gas companies, yamal LNG and novatek, increased their exports by 8% to 16.2 million tons, up from 15 million tons a year earlier.

In October, shipments from yamal LNG increased by 5.7% to 1.67 million tons, up from 1.58 million tons a month earlier. However, they were down 6% compared to October last year, when 1.78 million tons were shipped.

At the same time, shipments from yamal to Europe amounted to 0.9 million tons in October and about 1 million tons in September.

According to LSEG and the US authorities, six shipments of LNG have left the sanctioned arctic LNG 2 project since the beginning of August.

The Asian-oriented sakhalin-2 LNG plant reduced exports by 1.2% to 8 million tons in January-October, down from 8.1 million tons a year earlier. However, in October, shipments from the project increased to 0.95 million tons, compared to 0.84 million tons in September, remaining at the level of October last year.
