Argentine prosecutors have announced charges against three people in the death of former One Direction member Liam Payne. Payne, 31, died in October after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.
The autopsy showed that the cause of death was injuries sustained as a result of the fall, and traces of alcohol, cocaine and prescription antidepressants were found in Payne's body. The investigation revealed that Payne had probably fallen partially or completely unconscious, ruling out the possibility of suicide.
Among the defendants is a person from Payne's inner circle, who is accused of supplying drugs and distributing them. In addition, an employee of the hotel and another person suspected of supplying drugs to Liam Payne were charged. The investigation is ongoing.
