Zelensky announces new appointments of Ukrainian ambassadors

The President of Ukraine met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs to discuss the appointment of new ambassadors and replacement of existing ones. Among the candidates under consideration is former NSDC Secretary Danilov as ambassador to Moldova.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed Ukrainian diplomacy with Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga. In particular, during the meeting, they discussed the candidacies of Ukrainian ambassadors to vacant positions in the respective countries, as well as the replacement of the current ones. Zelensky said this in his evening address, UNN reports.

Today, together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, we also determined a lot of issues related to our diplomacy. We discussed the candidacies of Ukrainian ambassadors for vacant positions in the respective countries. We also discussed the performance of our diplomats. We are preparing replacements and appointments

In March, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Oleksiy Danilov from the post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and immediately appointed Oleksandr Lytvynenko to replace him.

Subsequently, Zelenskyy saidthat he had approved the candidacy of Oleksiy Danilov as Ukraine's ambassador to Moldova.
